Betty J. Foy, 72, went to be with the Lord August 17, 2018. She was born January 22, 1946 to Gerald and Ruth (Paxton) Newton.

She leaves behind three children James Wilhelm (friend, Brenda Crickon), Ruth Wilhelm Paul (husband, Greg), and Bill L. Foy (wife, Jaymie); four step children, William R. Wilhelm (wife, Sindi), Thomas Wilhelm, Jayne Bailey (husband, Tom), and Patricia Foy Rawlings; one niece, Lee Newton Arnold; as well as several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her stepson, Steven Wilhelm.

Betty loved the public and in return was loved by many. She was a waitress, owner and cook of her restaurant and cooked in the dining service at BSU. The children loved her when she was a crossing guard at 15 and Walnut. She volunteered at the neighborhood cop shop and many other activities in Muncie. She really enjoyed hot air balloons at summer heat.

Betty’s memorial will be held at Morning Star Church at Hoyt and 12^th on September 8, 2018 from 1 to 4.
